As with many execs, and especially entrepreneurs, they leave the big companies to work with smaller, more innovative projects, or they go start some more. They get an itch to do something more productive/meaningful/(enter adjective here). And Scheinman, who had a stint at Friendster prior to starting Bebo, is obviously looking to work on some new projects. He'll be helping CRV determine worthy startups, and probably initiate another of his own. This time he'll have every resource available at his fingertips.
[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""] Baio appears to be moving on for similar reasons. Having sold Upcoming to Yahoo some two years ago, a renewed focus on his own life and passions will surely be a welcome reprieve for the entrepreneur. But considering Yahoo's incessant restructuring as of late, it's been hard-pressed to keep its executives happy. With the renewed focus on Upcoming via Yahoo Local, however, is this a bad time for Baio to leave, or does this send a negative message about Yahoo's long-term plans?
Whatever the case may be, I hope that both Scheinman and Baio are taking the next 6 weeks off before getting back to work. ;)
