Nine new partners and big plans on the table. Yahoo has teamed up with two handfuls of mobile operators around the globe for the expansion of oneSearch, its mobile search technology (aka mobile portal). So who's in? Aircel Limited, BPL Mobile, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd., DiGi Telecommunications, PT Excelcomindo Pratama, PT Hutchinson CP Telecom, PT Indosat, PCCW Mobile and Starhub.
More than half of these partners are based in India and Indonesia, with Yahoo having already partnered with several other Asian partners in South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia as well. And so the race for Mobile Asia continues.
