I was just watching a CNBC segment where a pundit who happens to own Google stock was voicing his concern that the company is losing focus on its core search business. His argument was that if Google’s management team wants to invest in things like wireless spectrum and renewable energy (even though that was done through Google’s non-profit arm), they should do it with their own personal fortunes instead of risking shareholder’s earnings.
