Ashley Angell of Farraday Media is feeling a bit guilty, as many of us do from time to time, about spending more time with his mistress startup than his wife. In honor of all the neglected significant others due to Web 2.0, they've instituted a new holiday to hopefully assuage the guilt and keep her from divorcing him.
Before you hurriedly hit the "J" key in your Google Reader, and roll your eyes at either the silliness or inanity of the idea, stop and consider it a second. Yes, you Fred. You too, Scoble. I've got a wife, too. I know that she married me for a reason other than an odd attraction to the back of my head illuminated by the glow of LCD. I suspect your situations are similar.
The project is meant specifically for those running Web 2.0 startups, but I have a feeling that the same rules may apply for the bloggers who cover them. Simply upload and tag your items (absolutely anywhere) with "Spouse 2.0" and they'll be showcased on the site.
Those without significant others can watch with glee while the married social media junkies squirm in an attempt to do something inordinately geeky for our spouses by subscribing to a master list of all tagged items found at the holiday's home page.
