We reported on Twitter's Series B funding round from Union Square Ventures in July. At the time, the funding amounts were not announced. Today, Twitter finally disclosed in a regulatory filing today that the funding amount came to $4.8 million of the $5.4 million round. Other venture partners included Charles River Ventures, Marc Andreesen, Dick Costolo, Ron Conway and Naval Ravikant.

We are still a bit sketchy on what Twitter's business model is supposed to be. Nothing has really emerged from the fog yet on how the company intends to make money, aside from a few partnerships with high profile events like the MTV Music Awards or Wired Science to live-tweet events.

Still, we'd hate to see the service disappear, so here's to a business model emerging soon (as opposed to endless venture rounds)!
