News comes from Mexico City today that Yahoo is partnering up with Latin American mobile provider America Movil. The agreement provides for Yahoo's oneSearch to be the default mobile search service on Movil's carrier portal. The partnership between the two giants now extends oneSearch's availability into nineteen countries around the world.

America Movil is no slouch themselves, and is considered the biggest wireless provider for Latin America. They count their mobile subscribers to be around 143 million.

Yahoo's oneSearch appears to be gaining steam, having previously signed Aircel Limited, BPL Mobile, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd., DiGi Telecommunications, PT Excelcomindo Pratama, PT Hutchinson CP Telecom, PT Indosat, PCCW Mobile and Starhub.

So far, most of the partnerships have been made in India and Indonesia, with Yahoo having already made deals with several other Asian partners in South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia as well.
