While JuicyCampus doesn't actually allow search engines to index its content, there is the concern that such a site could be damning to pretty much anybody. As CenterNetworks has pointed out earlier today, JuicyCampus has been experiencing an on again, off again relationship with its server. Good thing, because apparently the site had become such an addiction that its downtime made it all the more popular. While no details have emerged regarding the down status of the site, it looks like the whole "larger in death than in life" effect has already begun to take effect for JuicyCampus, even if the site's not really dead.
As Mark has noted on various occasions in the recent weeks, and more notably last Friday in his weekly Social Media Crime Blotter article, anti-cyberbullying is a movement that's quickly gaining steam. Maybe that's the real reason JuciyCampus is down? I hate to say it, but gossip is pretty much everywhere. its a very integral part of our lives as social beings, and there are sites that do it well, and others that don't.
