Screensaver For The Voyeur In You

Here's a crazy idea: create a screensaver that tunes into random surveillance cameras and shows you what they see. SurveillanceSaver does just that, tapping into over 650 network surveillance cameras all over the world. It's a desktop application, available for both Mac and Windows, and while it's perhaps nothing more than a clever stunt, I've found myself fascinated with its randomness. After installation, the Windows version is accessible in the standard Windows screen saver menu.

The actual application has been around for a couple of months but there's a new (alpha) version out, which added support for new cameras and ironed some bugs. So, if you've got nothing better to do this Sunday than stare into random live video feeds, this one is going to be a real treat.
