In another round of funding, Demand Media has taken an additional $35 million in Series D funding from Goldman Sachs, 3i Group, Generation Partners, Oak Investment Partners and Spectrum Equity Investors, according to PE Hub. That makes for a total of $355 million in funding, including a $100 million round in September '07, since the company's inception about two years ago.

The company that was founded by the former CEO of Intermix Media, Richard Rosenblatt, has seen a great deal of funding and growth in these two years of existence. Demand Media has been growing largely through acquisitions, including video how-to site Expert Village, as well as Pluck, earlier this year.
