Although Yahoo was able to slightly exceed Wall Street analyst projections in its earnings announcement this afternoon, the news is being met with little fanfare, as shares of the company are trading just about flat after hours. More important than the numbers reported was the fact that it was the first official update on the company’s financial status since Microsoft made its unsolicited bid to acquire the company on February 1st.
