You have to go ahead and admit that there's something to these applications when a company called Serious Business is taken seriously enough to raise $4 million in Series A funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, with partner Jeremy Liew joining the board. Or you could resolve to yourself that we're most certainly in a bubble, but it's really a preference thing.
No matter what your preference is, however, Serious Business still landed a $4 million round, as reported by PE Hub. The company behind Friends for Sale is the latest to join the ranks of companies launching application creation services, getting sizable funding for making things like games that are played on social networks like Facebook.
