Another gaming network with hopes to create a platform. Fyrebug is launching tomorrow with 10,000 casual games, which are all user-generated. The hope with Fyrebug is to offer a service that lets any user easily create their own custom game, which can then be played on the site or embed into other sites, blogs, social networks, etc. The result is a network of customized game widgets that can be shared with friends.

So far the games available for creation are somewhat basic, resembling Pac-man and other popular game styles. Despite the simplicity of the current games offered on the site, the advertising potential through such shared media can be tapped. That's probably why Fyrebug is planning on offering more custom options for users, as well as multiplayer gaming options.

The good thing about Fyrebug's current offering is that it removes the need for a game creator to be an experienced developer in order to share their creation on the site. That's not to say that Fyrebug is ignoring the developer community, however. An API offering is also on the to-do list for Fyrebug, which will work better with the company's future plans for a gaming platform.
