This week, guest panelist was Allen Stern, the big kahuna behind CenterNetworks, the New York city based Web 2.0 (and emerging musical artist) and technology blog. Allen brought his own unique opinion to the table, along with panel regulars Louis Gray, Steven Hodson and myself.
We tried a different tactic this week in covering the news - venturing out past just going over the topics covered on the L33t Reddit filter, we picked a few discussion points, rather than news stories, that got our gears grinding over the previous week:
Data Portability in Social Networks (Google vs. Facebook)
Does one site or network have to win and others lose? Is it a closed pie?
Scoble is making the blog less of a focus vs. FriendFeed and Twitter. Are blogs being de-emphasized?
The issue of noise. Quality vs. Quantity. Signal vs. Noise, etc.
