5 Ways to Use LaterLoop, An Offline Bookmarking Tool

LaterLoop is a new service that lets you bookmark a page (and save an actual version of that website) for later access. There are a couple of points that differentiate this tool from typical bookmarking services: LaterLoop has a desktop version that allows you to view saved websites offline, and the mobile version grants you mobile access to your saved websites. LaterLoop also lets you share your saved sites with public profile options and RSS feeds.

This isn't a screen shot service, like ScrnShots, which takes an actual snapshot of an item you'd like to share. On the one hand, you may want LaterLoop to be able to hone in on one particular portion of the webpage instead of saving the entire thing, but on the other hand, you may want to have an entire web page saved on ScrnShots. Depending on your needs, it would be great to have a mixture of the two functions available for both services, but right now that little wish of mine is neither here nor there.

What I do have, however, are a few ways in which I thought would be good ways to use LaterLoop for personal purposes:

Save research material for school papers

Work on a blog entry offline, based on research material you've LaterLooped

Gain access to delicious bookmarks offline

Take screen shots of information/directions/contact info and have it readily available offline & on your mobile

Send your starred LaterLoop feed to other services like friendfeed to share recommendations
