You lose one, you gain one. After Warner's recent blow to Last.fm, when WMG pulled its music catalogue from the service, Last.fm now signed a deal with Universal Music Group which will bring UMG's music video catalogue available for free-on-demand streaming to Last.fm users.

UMG's roster includes artists such as Jay-Z, Nirvana, Def Leppard, Amy Winehouse, The Killers, Duffy, Snow Patrol, Kanye West and many others. While viewing all these videos won't cost Last.fm users a dime, Last.fm's owner CBS will pay a certain amount of money to UMG and its artists for every UMG video streamed.
