Further, the social network continued to narrow the gap on MySpace in the US, with traffic now roughly 2/3rds that of the larger network. As recently as April, MySpace had a nearly 3 to 1 advantage over Facebook in terms of US traffic – 58.7M to 22.4M, respectively.
Elsewhere in the social networking space, LinkedIn also saw record traffic in the month with 11.9M unique visitors, up more than 10% from August (10.8M) and a gain of 193% since last year. Twitter’s traffic was essentially flat after debuting in the Nielsen Online rankings last month, but up 343% year-over-year. The full report is embedded below:
