You can also share slides, common library objects, or entire presentations. Other new features also include the ability to track versions of presentations and assign user rights. The most useful feature for collaboration is the Web meeting feature which is similar to online WebEx meetings.

Another big announcement involves the SlideRocket Marketplace which will let you browse and purchase all of the content and services you'll need throughout the lifecycle of your presentations. There are three partners at this time: Fotolia, Mimeo, and PresentationPro.

Along with these additions comes a new pricing structure. SlideRocket will still offer a free basic account, but there will also be premium accounts available for individuals (starting at $10/month) and businesses (starting at $20/month per user). The good news is that every account including the free package allows you to create unlimited presentations. The biggest differences are the amount of storage space (250 MB vs 1 GB) and features.

SlideRocket competes with several other online presentation services such as Empressr, Zoho Show and Google Presently, to name but a few. This launch with all of the new collaboration features and the new SlideRocket Marketplace will certainly make some noise in this arena. It will be interesting to see what the competition does in response to this release, especially Google.
