The method for catching these is not particularly advanced: DM Fail appears to search for the prefix "dm" in public Tweets - of course, real direct messages are created by prefixing the message with "d" not "dm". This method means it's unlikely that DM Fail will pick up the most common DM mistakes: thinking a DM is an inbound text message, and replying to the text on your phone without any prefix.

Not to mention that the intent here...isn't particularly positive. Are we to derive joy from the mistweets of others? DM Fail might not even serve that purpose: the few pages of DM misteps I scrolled through aren't incriminating at all: incredibly mundane, in fact.

In fact, I challenge you to find a single incriminating Tweet on DM Fail and post it in the comments of this post.
