The new release also adds comment moderation for Wordpress 2.7 or higher, improved Safari integration, and offline editing. We previously ranked Blogo as one of the 10 best Mac apps for bloggers, and we stick by that claim.

When I downloaded Blogo, I was immediately impressed with how easy it was to connect my blog and get started (just make sure "remote editing" is enabled). You can expect Blogo to support all your platform's existing editing features, but it also adds in a few extras like offline editing, a drop box for easily adding media, and a bookmarklet to help you add media to posts without adding HTML. Blogo also supports multiple accounts for multiple blogs, and you can use Blogo as a Twitter desktop client—the Microblog Viewer is like a cross between Twhirl and Tweetdeck, without the groups.

For Blogo newbies, watch the screencast above for a quick tutorial on how to create your first post. Additional tutorials are available via the Brainjuice Vimeo account.

Blogo is available for Mac OSX 10.4 and up as a 21-day trial, so don't fall in love with this handy piece of software unless you're prepared to buy a license that will set you back 25 bucks.
