Applications will be both free and paid, with prices ranging from $2.99-$999.99 USD. Developers will pay a $200 USD fee to participate in the program, and they'll keep 80 percent of the revenue, which is better than Apple's 70/30 split. On the user side of the deal, it's important to note that the payments go through PayPal, which is not exactly available everywhere (especially if you want to receive money), and, well, not everyone likes it.

This is definitely great news for BlackBerry users. The selection of the apps in the App World is already very good; some of the apps that are currently offered are Facebook (of course), MySpace, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, Pandora and Google Talk.
