Place Your Bets: Will an NFL Player Tweet from the End Zone?

Earlier today, we reported that the NFL has said “no” to allowing players to tweet during games. Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, who aspires to be the first to do so and is known for his touchdown celebrations, is not giving up easily though, and vowed today (on Twitter) to defy the NFL’s rules.

And because people will literally bet on anything, online gambling site BetUS.com is now taking bets on a variety of sports-related Twitter activities. Among the things the site now lets you bet on: “Will an NFL player Twitter from the end zone?” The odds: 4 to 1, meaning a bet of $100 would pay you $400 if someone actually finds a way to tweet after scoring a touchdown.

Other wager options include “Will Lance Armstrong Twitter from his bike during the Tour De France?” at 3:1, and “Will a player be suspended for a Twitter message?” with BetUS paying 5 to 1 if you take the “yes” bet. The full list of available Twitter-related sports wagers can be found here.
