Starting tomorrow morning, Live Nation will be sending followers on an online and offline scavenger hunt with their tweets. Should you follow the clues from the company's Twitter accounts and complete the tasks at hand, you'll be competing to win a 2010 lawn season pass to your local Live Nation amphitheater.
The rules of the scavenger hunt aren't overly complicated, though they are, as expected, rather promotional in nature. First follow Live Nation (@LiveNation) and their local Twitter account nearest to you (see official rules and accounts). Enter the contest with a tweet to both Twitter accounts and the hashtag #LNScavHunt, and then start looking for clues starting tomorrow (Weds.) morning.
Your ultimate quest will be to locate three different Live Nation Twitter Scavenger Hunt icons, which you'll need to find online or in the physical world, capture them with a photo, and tweet to the local Live Nation Twitter account. Once you've found all three, and penned the appropriate tweets with photos, you'll also need to tweet that you're done. Should you enter and complete the scavenger hunt, you'll be eligible to win the lawn season pass, but you'll also get a $10 lawn ticket just for competing.
Twitter giveaways are nothing new, in fact it's a Twitter trend that we're watching closely. This one, however, seems to be focused on maximizing bang for the buck, with no less than five tweets required per competing person. It's an aggressive effort designed to flood twitter with tweets about Live Nation.
