How's the game shaping up? Early reviews from CNet and the LA Times are largely positive, while our preview copy appears to have gotten lost in the mail. The latter publication praises the game's "top-notch visuals and play", while the former calls it "one heck of a bar for future licensed music games", but admits the song selection could be wider (only 45 songs are included).
Available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii, the game will set you back $59.99 for the disc only, or $249.99 for the Limited Edition Premium Bundle, which includes controllers designed to look like a Höfner bass and Ludwig drum kit.
What's most interesting about the game is its potential cross-over appeal: attracting Beatles fans to Rock Band and introducing young Rock Band players to the legendary group.
