Back in May, we wrote about the Ning app platform that was rolling out to select Ning networks. Today, the company is officially launching Ning Apps to all 1.5 million Ning networks.
Built on Google's OpenSocial platform, 90 different applications from WordPress to Hulu to Qik are all available to Ning network creators.

Applications can be skinned to match the network they are being added to and include all of Ning's default viral sharing options.
This is a big step for Ning -- and a big step for OpenSocial. With platforms like Facebook and Twitter really dominating developers attention, Ning Apps is a great way to showcase not only the power of the Ning Network, but of the OpenSocial platform as a whole.
