Adobe to Acquire Omniture for $1.8 Billion

Omniture, a popular web analytics firm, has just been acquired by Adobe. The Flash, Acrobat, and Photoshop maker sealed the deal with a $1.8 billion stock acquisition that places SiteCatalyst, Test&Target, and SiteSearch in their hands.

Omniture, which is a publicly traded company, will now become a division of Adobe Systems, and the Omniture CEO will become one of Adobe's Senior Vice Presidents. Adobe will purchase shares of Omniture at a price of $21.50 per share.
