The new series features 2-minute long episodes with comedically un-profound tweets from celebrities, but staged to a visual representation of a deep and thoughtful dramatic reading.

The brainchild of Washington Post's Celebritology blogger Liz Kelly, amusingly mundane celeb tweets are read in true New Age style against a black backdrop and bokeh-style out of focus candles burning in the background, reminiscent of erudite Masterpiece Theater-type productions (or perhaps William Shatner's dramatic reading of Sarah Palin tweets). The contrast is effective and the first two episodes are worth a watch at a short 2 minutes each.

Check out the videso below and let us know what you think of Twits and The Washington Post's foray into web series.

Episode 1: P. Didy, Lindsay Lohan, Brooke Hogan

Episode 2: Tila Tequila, Courtney Love, J. Simpson
