LinkedIn Begins Rolling Out Major Redesign

Business social networking giant LinkedIn has been keeping busy in recent months. After surpassing 50 million users, the company hooked up with Twitter, announced integration with Outlook and launched its developer platform.

But while those changes and partnerships have been big news, the one change it announced that would clearly affect every one of its users was a redesign of LinkedIn. Revealed in early November, the redesign offered a revamped and cleaned-up interface.

Now, one month later, the redesign is going live for all users. Some Twitter users are already tweeting about it.

The LinkedIn team actually alerted users to the changes in a blog post last night. Over the course of the next week, users will see the streamlined interface, complete with a new, more detailed top-level navigation, the removal of the left-hand sidebar and less noise overall.
