People of Walmart Gets a Rap Anthem [VIDEO]

The song, penned by Denver rapper JDirty, is basically a musical version of the (rather cruel) website, which features photos of the various odd folk who frequent the chain store. The song is already making its way through the blogosphere, most likely gaining more attention than Dirt's first disc, A College Degree Well Wasted.

People of Walmart was one of those early success stories -- Time gave it a mention soon after its launch -- and it has only continued to get more and more viral, landing spots on lists of 2009's best blogs and even more media mentions on sites such as The Huffington Post.

Now, in true Internet meme style, JDirty has piggybacked on the success of the popular blog, earning both a new injection of attention for the site and his own 15 minutes in the WWW limelight.

As time goes by the term "web" is becoming more and more apt: Every piece of information disseminated via the Internet is attached to yet another fiber, creating an interconnected realm of information and entertainment. We just have to make sure that we have some spiders constantly in the mix, however, to keep spinning new information and content.
