Apple In Talks to Make Bing the Default iPhone Search Engine?

We know that Apple and Google aren't on very friendly terms anymore. These two companies once shared top executives -- Google CEO Eric Schmidt was on Apple's board of directors -- but after Google started directly competing with Apple, especially with Android and, more recently, the Nexus One, they've become bitter rivals.

It doesn't surprise us, then, that Apple might be in talks with Microsoft to turn Bing into the default search engine on the iPhone.

Personally, I hate the idea. I like Google, I've never considered switching to Bing, and I'm quite dependent on both Google Search and various other Google services, such as Gmail and Google Calendar. But would switching to Bing really be a deal breaker for iPhone users? I doubt it -- especially since you can change your default search engine for iPhone's Safari in the settings (currently the choices are Google and Yahoo; Bing is completely absent).
