Guitar Hero is one of the most popular franchises in video game history, having raked in $2 billion since its debut in 2005. Everyone dreams of being a rock star at some point, right?

The iPhone version has the player tap and strum in time with classic rock tracks — not unlike Universal Music's Six String app. Don't call it a ripoff, though; while some of the interface might have been borrowed from previous iPhone music games, don't forget that Guitar Hero birthed the music video game phenomenon to begin with — for the public at large, at least.

You can create a custom, 3D avatar to control when you're rocking out, and supported bands include Queen and The Rolling Stones.
