Is Digg About to Unbury the Bury Button?

If a recent poll from Digg founder Kevin Rose is any indication, Digg is considering bringing back the Bury button.

Earlier today, Rose tweeted a poll asking his followers if Digg should bring back the Bury feature. The Bury button was a popular feature before it was removed in the new version of Digg. It gave users the ability to vote down stories that they believed weren't worthy of Digg's front page.

The poll, which just closed, was overwhelmingly in favor of the return of the Bury feature; 69% of respondents (685 votes) said they wanted the feature back, while only 10% (215 votes) said it was better off gone. If you're wondering about the other 21%, those votes went to the third poll choice, "Cats." Meow.

After users revolted against the new Digg, the company has been working hard at bringing back some of the site's old features, but it hasn't affected the site's rapid traffic decline.
