Now we have the full specifications: It's a new smartphone running Android 2.3 and sporting a 1 GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512 MB of memory and a 4.2-inch multi-touch display (Sony Ericsson calls it the Reality Display) with a 854 x 480-pixel resolution.

It has a 8.1-megapixel camera with HD video (720p) recording capability and a slim, curved body that's just 8.7mm thick at its thinnest part and weighs 117 grams.

The list of the camera's capabilities is very long for a mobile phone camera; highlights include auto focus, face detection, LED flash, image stabilizer, geo tagging, and noise suppression. The device also features Sony's Exmor R technology, which enables you to take good looking photos and videos in low-light conditions.

As far as connectivity goes, you have a 3.5 mm audio jack at your disposal, as well as HDMI, USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. The device also supports aGPS and DLNA as well as memory cards with capacity up to 32 GB (it comes with an 8 GB microSD card).

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc will be available in select markets, including Japan, from Q1 2011.
