The network, which went live on Tuesday, will start airing Glenn Beck's daily show on September 12. That show will be expanded from one hour to two and will air at 5 p.m. ET, just like his Fox News show.

“GBTV is the future,” said Beck in a statement. “The confines of traditional media no longer apply. GBTV is about getting active in the community, participating in stories, and finding new ways to deliver news, information and entertainment directly to the audience.”

Starting Tuesday, programming on the online network began featuring a behind-the-scenes reality show about the making of GBTV. Channel subscribers will also get access to a video simulcast of Beck's three-hour radio show.

Pricing for the channel starts at $4.95 per month for access to Beck's two-hour show. For $9.95, viewers can get GBTV Plus, which offers all programming on the channel. Beck told The New York Times that such programming will offer a lot of variety. “If you’re a fan of Jon Stewart, you’re going to find something on GBTV that you’re going to enjoy,” Beck said. “If you’re a fan of 24, you’re going to find something on GBTV that you’re going to enjoy.”

Beck announced he was leaving Fox News in early April. The move came after his show's ratings fell from 3 million viewers in January 2010 to 1.6 million in early 2011. Pressure by advocacy groups who took issue with Beck's provocative right-wing assertions also caused more than 100 marketers to pull their ads from his show.
