The new major release of Mozilla's web browser, Firefox 8, officially launches Nov. 8. However, as usual, it's available to download on Mozilla's servers a bit early, meaning you can install it right now.
The Windows version of Firefox 8 is here, while the Mac version can be downloaded here.
The new release comes only one and a half months after Firefox 7. This is in line with Mozilla's new rapid release strategy, under which we can expect a major new release of Firefox every 6 weeks.
