One of our favorite things about the end of the year: the awesome music mashups that talented DJs and video editors put together. Every year since 2008, DJ Earworm has created an epic "United States of Pop" mashup of 25 of the biggest pop hits of the year. This year, Mashup-Germany put together an excellent mix of 29 of the biggest hits (in Germany) of 2011.
Panos T edited together the video and the whole mix full of poppy, bass-busting fun. Spin criticizes the lack of Lady Gaga (who is relegated to a brief cameo), but frankly, we think the current mix is much more reflective of what was actually playing in clubs in 2011.
Fans of our YouTube Cover Song Face-Off series will recognize a lot of the tracks, including Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger."
