First it was a social shopping app. Then it became a "fashion discovery engine." Now Pose wants to be the place you upload your outfits to, every day.

Pose is a mobile-based fashion startup from Los Angeles. The company released version 2.5 of its app for iPhone [iTunes link] and Android devices Tuesday, which encourages you to tag not just individual items in your photo when you're out shopping, but rather your entire ensemble on a daily basis. Each item can now be tagged with a separate category and brand, much like you can tag multiple people in a Facebook photo.

The multi-tagging feature was developed to accommodate existing user behaviors and to shape new ones. Thousands of Pose users already upload their "Outfit of the Day," or OOTD, to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and their personal style blogs, says Alisa Gould-Simon, the startup's director of marketing and communications. CEO Dustin Rose adds that "countless" Pose users have already been posting their entire outfits over the past few months and messily cramming all brand names into a single tag.

The changes are likely to make the app a force of habit for some users as they seek out and/or share style inspiration while getting ready in the morning -- all of which is likely to increase Pose's daily usage, engagement and user-retention rates.
