Clementi committed suicide by jumping from the George Washington Bridge in 2010 after posting a message on his Facebook page that said, "Jumping off the gw bridge. Sorry."

Ravi will be sentenced on May 21 and could face deportation to his native India even though he's lived in the United States since he was a boy. He was not charged with Clementi's death or found guilty on some counts of bias intimidation -- a crime in New Jersey. However, the jury ruled that Clementi may have felt he had been targeted because of he was gay.

Ravi had sent out tweets encouraging people to watch and talk about the footage. The prosecutor said Ravi's actions were motivated by homophobia. Clementi was a freshman student at Rutgers and had reportedly told his parents about his sexual orientation a few days before he started college.

This case brought cyber bullying into the spotlight and dominated headlines, prompting media figures and celebrities to participate in the popular, "It Gets Better" video series.
