On Twitter, The Primary's Over and It's Obama vs. Romney

With Rick Santorum out of the race, political pundits are labeling Mitt Romney the presumptive Republican presidential nominee -- and both the Romney and Obama campaigns seem to agree, because they're lashing out at one another at campaign appearances and on social media.

The Romney campaign (and all other Republican campaigns) has been taking shots at Obama throughout the primary. However, the Obama team has been hesitant to single out a target for its return fire, because incumbents generally don't legitimize an opposing candidate through attacks until a presumptive nominee has emerged.

Now that such a nominee has finally appeared, Obama and Romney are going head-to-head online, sending political jabs and responses over Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

The two campaigns are arguing about taxes, unemployment and, particularly, women's rights -- a subject that's been making headlines as Democrats accuse Republicans of waging a "war on women" and after a Democratic consultant accused Mitt Romney's wife of "never working a day in her life" on a Wednesday night CNN broadcast.
