Clam 'Eating' Salt Just Looks Wrong [VIDEO]

Nature. It's a wonder, but it can also be kind of disgusting. For instance, this video of a clam that appears to be eating salt on a table may make you recoil, but it's not the clam's fault.

In fact, as 100critical, the person who posted this video on YouTube points out, "Considerate clams flavor themselves before being eaten." As commenters below have noted, though, the "tongue" is actually the clam's foot and it's not tasting the salt, but being burned by it.
