If we're to believe the general timetable for the rumored release of Apple's iPhone 5, we'd hope that the manufacturer had settled upon a final handset design by this point.

So far, we've seen several pictures of components purported to be parts of this next iPhone. But beyond just the provenance of those pieces, it's also been hard to tell exactly how up-to-date they may be. With the clock ticking down to the iPhone 5's eventual release, we're getting yet another look at at what may be next-gen iPhone hardware, and once again thanks to a case manufacturer.

It's anyone's guess if this model, as BGR reports, consists of legitimate Apple parts, or if it may have been constructed from leaked specifications -- the kind of which we've seen surface before. It certainly seems to hit all the iPhone 5 notes we're expecting: taller screen with a new aspect ratio, bottom-mounted headphone jack and that new, smaller dock connector.

Lately, the rumors have been looking to an iPhone 5 launch as soon as late September, barely giving us a chance to get into fall. Frankly, though, such suggestions have been all over the place, and we could just as easily get our iPhone 5 news earlier in the month, or even in October.
