"It's like crack for women" is the phrase often used to describe Nikki Durkin's 99Dresses, an online platform where women can trade their clothes.

Durkin, 21, created a virtual currency -- called buttons -- that is used to buy and sell items on 99Dresses. Users earn buttons for giving away their stuff, and they can trade those buttons for other clothing.

It's a win-win situation: You're getting rid of your once-loved duds and getting new clothes. In essence, you can create an infinite closet of your own.

Durkin got the idea for 99Dresses after sharing clothes with her friends when she was at boarding school. The platform is essentially the same concept, which makes it perfect for women in their 20s.
