The videos employ YouTube's annotations feature to build a choose-your-own-adventure story with 15 possible outcomes.

"He's got a huge, active presence and a growing community online -- a project like this was a no brainer," Phil Botti, executive producer of Warner Music Group's YouTube channel, tells Mashable.

The movie follows two Simpson fans -- YouTube star Lia Marie Johnson and Gatlin Green -- as they venture to the House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif., to see him in concert. The tale ends in his dressing room.

"What teenage girl wouldn't want to play this movie?" Botti asks.

Other musicians have toyed with this approach. Earlier this year, British pop singer Elsie used a similar format for her song, "London Town." And last year, a more elaborate take on this interactive style surfaced courtesy of Andy Grammer.

Other recent, creative music videos include Katy Perry's Facebook Timeline-infused lyric video for “Wide Awake,” Jasmine Villegas's HTML5-infused interactive remix video and a multi-camera experiment from rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Arcade Fire's "Sprawl II," allowed viewers to direct the content with a webcam or mouse.
