Desirable "work from home" positions are opening up every day. But with more virtual jobs comes a slew of new online scams. In fact, the keywords "work from home" was on the FBI's scam list -- with a ratio of 70 scams to every one legitimate job online.

So, how do you sort through the clutter to find a verifiable job posting? Try searching on Flexjobs.

On this episode of The Valley Girl, Flexjobs Founder Sara Sutton Fell explains some of the common tricks job-scammers like to pull online and how to avoid them in your search.

Flexjobs has a research team that sifts through the job noise to find the right position for the user. Its job career categories range from entry-level to professional. Fell says she's even seen "remote neurosurgeon jobs" on the site.

Fell started Flexjobs when she became a mother and had trouble finding a flexible job herself. But she admits that running the company is not quite as flexible as the jobs it provides.
