Does iPhone 5 Have Hoops Functionality? NBA Player Puts it to the Test [VIDEO]

Ah, the exalted iPhone 5. Apple's latest smartphone offering features a four-inch screen, runs on the brand new iOS 6 operating system, has a sexy brushed aluminum backing and lets you browse the web like a cheetah thanks to its 4G LTE wireless capability. Oh, and one more thing -- it weighs in at just 3.9 oz.

For hoop-heads, there's just one thing that could make the iPhone 5 better: if it functioned as a basketball too.

NBA player and budding tech analyst Iman Shumpert put the gadget's basketball functionality to the test. While the iPhone 5 outperformed the Samsung Galaxy S III in a drop test last week, the outdoor blacktop was less forgiving. Shumpert shoots, dunks and dribbles Apple's new baby, and the results aren't pretty. They are pretty funny, though, so check out the video above to see what happens.
