Yahoo's new CEO Marissa Mayer has given birth to a baby boy, according to a tweet sent on Monday by her husband.

The 37-year-old executive, who announced in July that she was leaving Google after 13 years, had her first child on Sunday night, one week before her due date. Her husband Zack Bogue tweeted that "Mom (@MarissaMayer) and baby are doing great--we couldn't be more excited!"

Soon after, Jeff Jarvis -- journalism professor and author of Public Parts: How Sharing in the Digital Age Improves the Way We Work and Live -- sent a tweet saying Mayer is looking for baby-naming help and "she's crowdsourcing suggestions."

Mayer revealed she was pregnant shortly after announcing she would be taking the helm at Yahoo. Mayer said Yahoo's board knew about her pregnancy before being hired and their decision reflects a change in a business environment once more reluctant to mothers and women expecting children.

Mayer also noted that she was pleased the Yahoo board was not concerned, telling Fortune their actions "showed their evolved thinking."

Mayer doesn't plan to be out of the office for awhile, saying she plans to work through most of her maternity leave.
