Charging Your Phone Becomes a Game With This Toyota App [VIDEO]

Charging your phone is nothing more than a mundane necessity -- not likely anyone's idea of fun.

But a new app aims to transform the process into an entertaining game. Called "Plug-in Championship," it displays a power meter that moves up and down. The goal is for users to plug in their charger when the meter is at its highest; the more accurately timed the "plug-in," the better the score.

It's not a complex game, to be sure, but a good way to pass the (brief) time.

Toyota developed "Plug-in Championship" as part of its promotional campaign for the Prius PHV hybrid car. The app is available for iOS and Android.
