Greetings from the California Theatre in downtown San Jose, where Apple CEO Tim Cook will take the stage Tuesday -- and where it's all but certain we'll see Apple's first new product line since the original iPad arrived in 2010.
The iPad mini, likely a 7.8-inch version of the bestselling 10-inch tablet, is the centerpiece of an event that may also include a new MacBook with Retina display, the official launch of iTunes 11 and iBooks 3, as well as a surprise musical guest.
