Apple launched on Tuesday the latest version of iBooks at its press event.
iBooks 3 -- which is available for download starting today and supports 40 languages -- features continuous scrolling and an updated version of Whispersync with iCloud capabilities. This enables users to share quotes or other content across various devices and sites, including Facebook and Twitter.

It's been rumored that iBooks 3 could be unveiled at the event along with the iPad Mini, which could tout an education and textbook focus.
Earlier this year, Apple held an event in New York City that showed the company’s plans to reinvent the education industry and bring textbooks to the iPad in schools nationwide via iBooks.
