Long Exposure Photos Illuminate NYC's Blackout Zone

Hurricane Sandy left lower Manhattan in a blackout that has residents braving the dark streets and dodging what are either zombies or people without flashlights.

Photographer Randy Scott Slavin shined a light -- or, more specifically, car headlights -- on New York's electricity-less zone with a stunning long exposure photographs series. NYC Unplugged shows some of the city's darkest neighborhoods, lit only by the headlights and taillights of cars speeding through on their escape from the shadows.
