Hostess is quickly bringing its operations to a halt. After more than 80 years of baking classic pre-packaged treats, the company announced on Friday that it has filed for bankruptcy, seeking permission to close its business and sell its assets.
Bakery operations have officially suspended at all plants, but delivery and retail will remain open for a few days to sell already-made products. In other words, flock to the stores now if you want a taste of the last Twinkies ever.
